character descriptions;

These are the characters we would like to see filled first, if there is a creature that is partially human, or has human characteristics (Faeries, Gnomes, Harpies etc.) that is not listed that you would like to play please contact a mod by emailing thislandmods@gmail.com. A list of mythical creatures can be found here. Please provide us with a link to your creatures page if you choose one.

Each Kingdom has nine variant roles that need to be played. They are each explained below.

The Princess: This is relatively easy to figure out, the princesses are the seven daughters of Violet and Augusten. There are some requirements for playing this role; they include being some of the most active characters in the game, being willing to speak to mods and other players about upcoming plot points etc., they must've been born on April 17th, and they must be twenty-two years of age. Other than that you can go wild with hair colors, characteristics etc but please make sure you can be dedicated to the game before applying.

The General: This is the leader of the provinces army, he is first in command but must have the approval of the Princess before making major decisions such as going to war, issuing a death sentence, etc. They are in charge of making sure the army is prepared for an attack, recruiting new members and providing counsel to the Princess.

The Commander: This is the second in command of the provinces army. They are in charge of planning out attacks, but must get them approved by the General before executing them. They are also needed for providing counsel to the Princess.

The Mystic: Mystics are the ones who predict what will happen for the Princess, they are not always right, and their predictions are not crystal clear. They may only see a color, or hear a sound in their predictions, but they are needed for their wisdom more than anything. The princesses may or may not place a high value on the word of their mystic.

The Counselor: The Counselors are the people who are always at the side of their princess. They give advice, help with decision making, and attend to the needs of the Princess, they must be ready to move at all times for they are almost as important as the Princesses themselves. The knowledge they contain, in the hands of a traitor, would be devastating.

The Spy: If there is someone in the province that is plotting against anyone of the above mentioned figures, the Princess will need to know about it. This is where the Spy comes in, they check out tips gathered from people around the provinces, and make sure that no one inside of the castle is in danger.

The Maid, The Chef and The Stable Person: These three, while not ranked high in society, are incredibly important to the Princess and the castle itself. They are expected to do their jobs, and to keep their mouths shut if they hear anything they shouldn't. The Princess has to be able to trust in these three, as her secrets are theirs, and any slip ups could mean the loss of their lives.

*Note: Any of the above characters, excluding the Princess, can at any time become a traitor and give information to the Witches Eight. This must, however, be run by a mod or included in the application, if we feel that it won't fit into the plot in any significant way please don't be upset, we just want to keep the game interesting and fun for everyone.

The Witches Eight

The Witches Eight need to be almost as active as the Princesses, they do not have to live together and are not related (though they can be if muns agree) and they do not need to be the same age. If you would like for your witch to be married please include that on the application in the section provided and I will add the request to this page. The First witch is the descendent of Elendro and therefor will have more of a leadership role.

Other Roles

Centaurs . Merpeople . Witches
Warlocks . The Fates (3 Available) . Fae
Shape Shifters . Shooting Stars (5 Available) . Elves
Vampires . Lycanthropes . Pixies
Pirates . Genies . Sprites
Muses (7 Available) . Sphinx . Elementals
The Nereid and the Dryad (One of each available)

Also needed are army members and peasants

Important Notes:

1) Army Members and Peasants can be a race other than human.

2) The Fates must be on the side of the Shadow, serving as advisors.

3) Elementals are considered to be humans with powers that pertain to a certain element, it can be any element you wish but make sure you have a fair amount you can do with it. For example it would be much easier to have the element of water than it would be to have the element of leaves or snow. Sprites on the other hand can be those specific types of things (i.e. ice or ashes) but they are generally in the form of their element; they can take on human form but only for a short time and they are meant to resemble their element somewhat.

4) If we tend to get more of one type of character than the others, we as mods can and will put a cap on the creation of those characters. It can be lifted eventually, once things even out.
